Accreditation Information


EVIDENCE-BASED TRAINING:

EFTUniverse courses offer training in Clinical EFT™, the "evidence-based" form of EFT. Training and certification in Clinical EFT™ is based on research that meets the standards of the American Psychological Association's Division 12 Task Force on Empirically Validated Treatments. EFT Universe offers CE/CME credit for Clinical EFT™ training in conjunction with The Institute for the Advancement of Human Behavior (IAHB). The Institute for the Advancement of Human Behavior (IAHB) has been approved to offer Continuing Education and Continuing Medical Education (CE/CME) credit hours (except where otherwise noted) by the organizations listed below.

Clinical EFT Curriculum and Course Objectives

The Clinical EFT Curriculum is comprised of modules with each module building on the skills learned in the previous module.

Each workshop is designed to teach participants a specific group of skills and Course Objectives.

Review EFTUniverse Certified EFT Trainers and their qualifications.

Requirements for CE Participants

• You must attend the course in full in order to receive CE credit. No partial credit will be awarded.

• Please sign in and out of each day of the course. If you do not sign in and out, you will not be eligible to receive CE credit.

• Upon conclusion of the course, complete the workshop evaluation and turn it in to staff onsite. If you met all the course requirements, upon receipt of your course evaluation, you will be granted a CE Certificate of Completion.

• CE Certificates will be provided to you by email 4 weeks after the workshop concludes.

CATEGORY A AND B:

Clinical EFT™ Workshops course listings marked with the § symbol are in Category A, and courses marked with the ¶ symbol are in Category B.

• Category A (§) each individual course qualifies for 12 CE/CME credit hours for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, for Counselors and MFTs, and for Social Workers.

• Category B () each individual course qualifies for 12 offer CE/CME credit for Nurses, for Physicians, and for Psychologists, in addition to the professions listed under Category A.

Note: A number of EFTUniverse Trainers offer CEUs through other organizations (workshops are marked by the ~ symbol). Please contact these Trainers directly for more information.


Category A

ALCOHOLISM & DRUG ABUSE COUNSELORS:
Provider approved by CFAAP/CAADAC, Provider #4N-86-074-0117 for 12 CEHs. CAADAC is an ICRC member that has reciprocity with most ICRC member states.

COUNSELORS & MFTs:
IAHB is approved by the State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation (License #168-000119). IAHB has been approved by the Texas Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists to provide CEH offerings for MFTs. Provider Number 154. Institute for the Advancement of Human Behavior, Inc. (IAHB) is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed mental health counselors. #MHC-0063. CA State Counselors, MFTs, and Social workers are covered for CE credits through reciprocity with APA and ASWB.

SOCIAL WORKERS:
Institute for the Advancement of Human Behavior, #1426, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org, through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Institute for the Advancement of Human Behavior maintains responsibility for the program. ASWB Approval Period: 3/16/2017 – 3/16/2020. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval for continuing education credits. Social workers participating in this course will receive 1 clinical continuing education clock hour per hour attended. As an approved continuing education provider for the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners, IAHB offers continuing education for Texas licensed social workers in compliance with the rules of the board. License No. 3876; MC 1982, PO Box 149347, Austin, TX 78714, (512) 719-3521. Institute for the Advancement of Human Behavior, Inc. (IAHB) SW CPE is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #0091. CA State Counselors, MFTs, and Social workers are covered for CE credits through reciprocity with APA and ASWB.

 


Category B

Category B includes ALL organizations listed under Category A but also includes:

NURSES:
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, (BRN Provider CEP#2672) for 1 CE hour per contact hour. The Institute for Advancement of Human Behavior is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

PHYSICIANS:
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the Institute for the Advancement of Human Behavior (IAHB), and Energy Psychology Group. IAHB is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. IAHB designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) ™ per hour attended. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

PSYCHOLOGISTS:
IAHB is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. IAHB maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

OTHER ACCREDITATIONS:
Many state boards accept offerings accredited by national or other state organizations. If your state is not listed, please check with your professional licensing board to determine whether the accreditation listed above are accepted.

The Institute for the Advancement of Human Behavior, Inc. is responsible for the content, quality and scientific integrity of all CE/CME activities certified for credit. When an educational activity is offered for medical (CME), Nursing (ANCC) and/or Psychology (APA) continuing education credit, participants must be informed as to the source, amount, nature, and disposition of any funding used to support the activity, whether in the form of educational grants, cash contributions, or in-kind contributions.

Individuals in a position to influence course content must also disclose whether they have one or more relevant financial relationships with individuals and companies who have a financial interest in activity content.

All those in a position to control the content of an education activity are asked to disclose any relevant financial relationships they have with any commercial interest.

EFTUniverse Certified Trainers have no relevant financial relationships to disclose, with the exception of Dawson Church as noted below.

Dawson Church, PhD has disclosed a relevant financial relationship with the Energy Psychology Group, Inc. Dawson Church agrees that his presentations and other contributions to program content will be completely fair and unbiased, and will mention other healing processes and products during the presentation when appropriate. If possible, he will refer to generics rather than to brand names when mentioning products, equipment, and services, and they will be selected/included on the basis of best available evidence.

Some of the case material may contain graphic descriptions of violence, sexual activity, or other content which could be disturbing, especially to participant who themselves have had similar experiences. The workshop is intended for healthy professionals and advanced students, who participate in at their own risk.
